Collettivo Micorrize is a research-project born of the meeting of Marta Lucchini and Rosa Lanzaro.
Micorrize has the vocation of a collective open to contacts and collaborations with other artists,
researchers, thinkers. Collettivo Micorrize explores the language of the performing arts by
contaminating it with that of the visual arts. Collettivo Micorrize’s purpose is the creation of
performative actions and installations as well as the spread of art outside its accustomed
perimeters. Collettivo Micorrize performs poetic actions in wild, rural, urban, public, private,
institutional and non-institutional environments. Collettivo Micorrize’s research revolves around the
interplay between bodies and landscapes, investigating their reciprocity and permeability,
considering their mutual relationship foundational. Our installations accommodate the action by
investigating the locations’ characteristics and emphasizing them with small mimetic interventions,
deliberately almost invisible, in connection with the body and movement. Our dance is generated in
the intra-action among bodies, spaces, temporalities and atmospheres that produce influencing worlds.
The skin, and the whole body within it, becomes a threshold rather than a frontier. Dance thus opens
to the surrounding landscape; the body inhabits the installation becoming part of it; it gives life
to the space and takes life from it in a multi-directional loop, becoming itself a landscape in the
landscape. Collettivo Micorrize carries out her artistic research mainly in open spaces feeling the
urgency to step out of conventional places, and, once plunged into such environments, aspires to
perform actions that symbolically probe the political valence of the bodies, of their mutual and
complex relationships, and even of art itself to illuminate or subvert points of view in the world we
inhabit. Experimenting with the residency as a practice of listening, immersion, and habitation of
the landscape, but also as a dialogue with the elements, the environment, the inhabitants (humans,
animals, vegetables, minerals), Collettivo Micorrize brings the body into the open as a political act
of care, able to mend and cultivate the bonds between the human and non-human worlds. In Collettivo
Micorrize care is a necessary disposition for creating, it means to open unprecedented spaces and
generate new forms and dynamics of inhabiting this Planet. The core of our projects is the weaving of
relationships with surroundings, creating the warp and weft and then bringing this weaving to light
and offering it up to the gaze of the public, or rather, of those who participate in the collective
ritual that is the performance.
