My artworks are nature-oriented and inspired by natural elements.With a certain sensibility towards rhythms, structures and patterns, I extracts the essences of various forms in nature ore my environment and translates them into site-specific works and installations. I investigate our role towards nature, how we see ore don’t see nature. My works relates also to the passing of time and to the cyclical nature of time. Time and the fact that everything is temporary are aspects of life that the environment and every human being have in common. I like using time consuming old techniques like embroidery and crocheting. These techniques are perfect for me to express and investigate all the rhythms, patterns and structures. In our modern society things should go fast, we are not used to invest time in something anymore ore to repair things. To embroider shows the importance of investing time; why invest time in something which isn’t worthwhile?
