Approach of art: vGtO usually takes action in response to a specific question – from an institution, exhibition maker, government, company or private individual – but also when she herself sees an opportunity to make her experiences public. By public we mean that vGtO infiltrates everyday life and brings art directly to the public. And so at the very least tries to take art out of the margins and push it further into the mundane and everyday. Thinking of Cornel Bierens, it is not about making art and life coincide, but about submerging in real life, also as a reaction to the exhibited art of (everyday) life that hardly has any imagination left.] To say what it means to say vGtO leaves no stone unturned;… …vGtO then travels through the realm of almost meaningless everydayness, trying to dodge the swinging wrecking ball of aesthetic norm awareness. After all, it’s often the trivial things, without any artistic pretension, that can suddenly cause an (almost painfully) honest and revealing experience.
