As a visual artist I am captivated by working outside with organic materials, like branches and sea clay (zeeslib, Schlick, boue). I withdraw into a quiet place in the forest. I explore the surroundings, collect, research and experiment. From my experiments human-like figures arise. I question our role as a human on this earth, and our relationship with nature.
Based on the concept of working solely with organic materials, many ideas appear, which I roughly sketch beforehand, but the final shaping happens on site. Herein I let myself be guided by the natural forms, that cross my path. I am inspired by land art and existential philosophy.
